Team History
November 10, 2006Cousins Aris and Neri aqcuired the awareness of the sport, both are eager beaver to try the game, made their observations and gained more knowledge about Airsoft through Filairsoft.com…
Aftermonths of asking questions and doing research, they finaly got a chance to play the game - A Night Pistol Games at Ding Velayo hosted by Eyez_man of Team K9 Troopers and owner of Airsoft Armory together with other airsoft fanatics such as El Guerrero, Killjoy, Fallujah, Diver, Wowie and more…Their first weapon…sharing an oldschool Berreta Gas Gun (non blowback) which Neri got from his another cousin Reign who bought it from Neri's dad way back in the 90's when Major (as the team calls him) is still a fanatic of airsoft which he even opened a shooting gallery at his house in Cavite).
So much to say, Team TACSAD (Tactical Assault Commando Seek, Attack, Destroy) was born and later on influenzed Jantzen another friend of Neri into the team. Neri, being an Air Force Officer's son observed that other airsoft teams are inspired from the real military units, and was aware of the existence of an infantry, specops unit of the Philippine Air Force - the 710th Special Operations Wing got the idea to re-name the team afetr these honorable unit and Special Operations Warfare Airsoft team is born and three SPOW Warrior was born…Ghostrider (neri), Sub_Zero (aris) and Kirk (jantzen).
The three warriors conquered the airsoft arena tagged by Fallujah. their first exposure was in Antipolo Hotel with Marine Force recon (MFR) and Rizal Recon with Ghostrider and Kirk battling it out using their Gas Pistols against high-end AEGs in which they gained some respect. The next is at Camp Masada after Kirk acquired two ACM (DEM83 and BEStyr) again tagged by Fallujah, Team Spow gained another respect and recognition. After battling it out against high-end AEGs, the group was invited by a member of Team SWAK, a Cavite based ACM Team (then), another recognition was added to the team portfolio. Next destination: Last Castle joining a night game with Team SOE. The group continue to play games and was last seen in action in Last Castle together with Fallujah.
Differences between Kirk and Ghostrider has broke in and made the team silent for quite sometime. Ghostrider still a fanatic of the sport, didnt get affected by the differences, Sub_Zero staying on the side of Ghostrider and Kirk joining K9 Troopers.
May 2005, Kirk was arrested carrying an airsoft replica and was held in Camp Crame when Fallujah came in to bail him out thus resulting for the motion for Airsoft Legalization and United Airsoft Alliance.
October 2005, Ghostrider, still in the depth of the differences started to call in for new members of the team. and by January 22 2006 Team SPOW was again formally resurected by Ghostrider, Devil_one, Bluetag and Sub_Zero just keeping in touch.
Games started to come in after Ghostrider managed to make it possible to use a high school campus inside Villamor Air Base as a playing site where Major (neri's dad) joined in as Team Adviser…and the Pioneer Members of the team are:

After a series of games in the said campus, came an event in Paranaque Hosted by Different Airsoft Shops dubbed: ARMAGEDDON was participated by Ghostrider, Devil_One and Bluetag and indeed they went home with pride after sweeping the Sniper's Lair Competition (winning the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place) and landing on the 2nd Place mark on the Speed ball Competition together with a team from Laguna.
These acheivement boost the morale of the team and was able to play at THE RUINS (an old barracks in Villamor Air Base) and shown their guest team Airsoft Vanguards, Blitzkrieg and Pistoleros what the Team can do.
The team continue to conquer the Airsoft Arena by visiting other sites like Camp Caxiopea (Airsoft Vanguards), Tropical Palace (Project Phoenix), CXG, Sitting Ducks and Makati Poly (MAG) in which they gain another sense of recognition.
SPOW Warriors joined other events like UAA North vs South Part One and Two and Kalis 6 in which the team was part of the Opposing Forces. And was able to put a mini exhibit and Airsoft Shooting Competition during the College Week celebration of Asia Pacific College.
At present, the continues to grow in number and recognized in the arena, after being affiliated to United Airsoft Alliance and playing constantly at Nayong Pilipino gamesite hosted by ASG-NCR. And was givem a chance to Host an Event in benefit of the wounded AFP Soldiers confined at the AFP Medical Center as co-presentor of ASG-NCR and APC37AD.
Developments regarding the team contineously coming in, after maintaining a Team Board Site and reorganizing the Team Structure, the team finaly got its set of officers and a firm command structure along with the efforts of Zepol_je that a Team Blog Site is not far from launching out.
Gentlemen, that is the history of Special Operations Warfare Airsoft Team…The Home of the Warriors…
